Introducing the DIGR-ACT® Solution! Part 6

7/09/2019

What does ‘C’ stand for?

Do you care whether the actions you took to try to stop an issue from recurring were completed? Does it matter if they actually worked? Of course! Deciding on actions is only part way to fixing a problem. We need to complete the actions and make sure they were effective. That's why there is the ‘C’ step in the DIGR-ACT® solution, where C stands for ‘Check’.

After taking immediate action(s), defining the issue, developing the likely root cause(s), and determining the best actions (DIGR-A), the next essential steps are to check for completion and effectiveness. Rather than simply addressing the result of root cause analysis, spending time checking for completion and effectiveness can stop the issue cycle.

Are you finding yourself on the wrong road, reacting to problems by continually retraining, but noticing or checking that the problems still occur? Find out how to dig into checking for completion and effectiveness and follow the right road with the DIGR-ACT® solution!
